Ken Friberg / Commercial Photographer
Ken Friberg is a Twin Cities commercial photographer and cinematographer with a wide range of talents, including graphic design. Designers love working with Ken because he brings his design skills to every shoot.
Ken enjoys collaborating not only with designers, but with all kinds of creatives, including sculptors, actors and fine artists. For 18 years, he has lived and worked with an exciting mix of innovators in an artist cooperative in Lowertown, an historic district in downtown St Paul. Ken’s Minneapolis photo studio is a creative center for a variety of cinematographers and photographers.
He has also been a documentary videographer, art director and illustrator. His clients include Harley-Davidson, Indian Motorcycles, MTV, Target, J.W. Hulme, Delta Dental, Surly Brewing, Adobe, Carl Zeiss AG and Medtronic. Ken values his pro bono and small local clients as much as his big brand-name clients.
Ken holds a BFA from the College of Visual Arts, where he was also an adjunct professor, teaching typography, photography, production and design.
He is committed to giving back to his community and the world. Over the years, Ken has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of time and talent to good causes, including the St. Paul Foundation, MN Philanthropy Partners, United Way, MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving), and the MN Green Party.
